Dear Friend and
Traveller,
April 2008
Thank you to all of you for patiently waiting for this year’s itinerary. We
hope that several of the trips will interest you.
It becomes more difficult to arrange affordable trips, because the high cost
of fuel means that hiring coaches is no longer a cheap thing to do.
However, comparing our prices to those of other organisations, we believe we
still offer good value for money and as a bonus we do still make our
convenient neighbourhood pick-ups in the Tendring area (UK, Essex) and 100% of
the profits from the trips go to supporting the building cost of the Welcome
Centre Community Hall at the Baptist Church in Pier Avenue, Clacton on Sea
(which has charitable status).
If you wish to join us, please don’t delay sending in your booking form or
e-mail us on coachtrips@fsmail.net
If you leave it too late you may find there are no seats available on the
coach, or I may have decided to cancel the coach altogether, believing that
the trip was not going to be viable. We do our best to be flexible, and
all you need to do is simply make a phone call or send us an e-mail if you
want to make a late booking, or regretfully, find yourselves needing to make
a cancellation because of ill health or other pressing priority.
Please have a look at the ‘Terms & Conditions’, then just fill out your
‘Bookings Sheet’ and send us £5 per person as a deposit for each trip you
wish to book. Cheques may be made payable to ‘Pier Avenue Baptist Church’
and should be sent to us. We do not have our address published on this
website. Please simply contact us by e-mail and we will give you the
information that you need.
The trips are now also available in paper form (please ask) and where possible we have included
website addresses of our destinations so you can look up the places for
yourself.
By supporting our trips you are
helping us with the charitable fundraising for our new ‘Welcome Centre’ Community
Hall at Pier Avenue Baptist Church, Clacton on Sea – we are very grateful
for your interest and involvement. A Service of Thanksgiving and
Official Opening
took place last Summer and it is now being well used by our local
community as well as by our Church Fellowship for the youth and children's
work. There is still a large outstanding debt to repay loans, and so
our fundraising will be continuing for the foreseeable future. We very
much appreciate your help with our efforts which greatly encourages us.
Your involvement in our trips last year helped us to raise £900, so a very
big thank you goes to you all.
We look forward to seeing you on one or more of our excursions this year.
