please contact us quickly to avoid disappointment.
This trip is the same day as
the visit to the Houses of Parliament.

You will be dropped at
Westminster in the heart of London, and from there you can decide how to
spend your day. There is plenty to do or see ... it will simply be a
case of deciding what to do or see!
If you want a modestly priced
day out, there is no charge for entering any of London's major museums or
art galleries (except special exhibitions). You could visit the
National Gallery or Portrait Gallery on Trafalgar Square, or travel towards
Holborn for the British Museum. A fairly short tube or bus journey
will take you to Kensington where the Science Museum, Victoria & Albert
Museum and Natural History Museums.
You might decide to take in
some of London's other attractions. The London Aquarium and the London
Eye are very close by and from here a pleasant stroll along the South Bank
will bring you to the Tate Modern and eventually Southwark. If you
cross over the river opposite the Tate Modern, you could visit St Paul's
Cathedral. In Westminster you could also visit Westminster Abbey or
Westminster Cathedral, or walking towards Trafalgar Square will take you in
the direction of Buckingham Palace or Clarence House.
Bear in mind that some of the
attractions may need to be booked in advance. If you cannot access the
internet to book things yourself, then ask the organiser and she will do
what she can to help you.
Timings: We
leave at 8am, you will have around 6 hours free, and we return to the local
area at at around 8pm.
