Westfield Stratford City opened last September and with a
total retail floor area of 1,883,700 square feet it is one of the largest
urban shopping centres in Europe. It is the 3rd largest in
the UK behind the Trafford Centre and MetroCentre. With the
surrounding shopping area
taken into account it is actually the largest urban shopping centre in the
EU.
Westfield Stratford City is next to the London Olympic Park,
Stratford International and
Regional Railway Stations.
Using innovative technology, Westfield Stratford City is said
to be the first to utilise the large
scale use of Pavegen floor tiles in order to harness the kinetic energy of
pedestrian foot
traffic in order to generate usable electricity.
With international shop brands, a fresh food court and lots
of leisure area and entertainment, you will certainly be able to enjoy your
day completely at your own pace.
Departing the local area at 8.30am we will arrive at
Westfield Stratford City mid-late morning.
You will have circa 6 hours to enjoy the Centre before we leave at 5pm for a
return to the
local area around 7.30pm.
